NIHAO World is built around deliberate sharing. Public means chosen; private means private.
Public profiles are projections
Only profile fields, links, badges, media, and presence signals explicitly marked for publication are shown in the public directory. Drafts and private profiles are not public resources.
Audience insight without surveillance
When a member keeps audience analytics on, Nihao counts a short list of successful actions such as a visible profile visit, entry, link click, media play, share, or Directory open. We do not use a third-party advertising tracker, store a visitor's raw IP address, keep full referring URLs, or collect private form content for creator analytics.
Daily privacy, honest totals
Visitor totals are deduplicated per profile and UTC day with a daily one-way identifier. A 7, 30, or 90-day total therefore means visitor-days, not a claim about the exact number of people across multiple days. Country information appears only after at least 20 unique visitor-days for that country are present in the selected range.
Short retention and member control
Detailed product events are kept for no more than 90 days. Non-identifying daily totals may be kept for up to 25 months. Members can opt out; new audience events stop immediately and their creator-analytics records are removed. Separate security and abuse-prevention records follow their own limited purpose and are never reused as creator analytics.
Your controls travel with you
Members can disable analytics or presence sharing, change profile visibility, manage sessions, and remove published material from Studio. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the private Report flow.
